Special month for Skyler

August is a special month for Skyler, it's his birthday month. It was all over again wtih birthday cake and presents. This year, he is much more into Dinosaurs, so anything with dino, he was just happy. He loved all of the gifts, especially 2 chairs that Grandmother Biggs brought for him (It was used when Rob and his brother were young). It's just perfect size for him that he can sit down and read, play, eat snack, etc. He also discovered fun of playing with Play dough. Most of the time, he wants us to make something (and of course, most of the times, he wants us to make dinosaurs). We still have to supervise him now that he learned he could put those in his nose or eat them...(why kids like to do "no-no" stuff?)It's hard to believe he is already 2 yrs old. But I love this age of growing out of baby phase.

Kobe Mission Reunion again!

Satomi feels very blessed to get to know many of her RM friends who she served with. Her Mission President (David F. Robertson) and Sis. Robertson are now serving in Japan again and they came back for a short time. She wished to talked with all of the people at this gathering, yet find a little hard to do so while chasing her little Skyler. She is also greatful that her hubby Robert likes to come with her now that he knows many of them (thank you for talking with my hubby and made him feel comfortable!).

Silly me, Silly you!

Skyler was "Helping" Satomi folding laundry away but he was being silly most of the time. He loves to make Mommy laugh by singing and making funny faces. It was just his spotlight of being "Comedian." He learned to say, "Oh, you are silly, no, I am silly!" Skylerは聡美と一緒に洗濯物を片付けるのを「手伝っていた」ときの写真ですが、本人単にヒョウキンになってひとり漫才をしていました。彼はママを笑わせるのが大好きで歌を歌ったりおかしな顔をして一人漫才をする面白い子です。

I just couldn't take any pictures away from these. It was just so cute of Arora and Skyler　watching group of ducks and other animals. This was one of Satomi's mother's group activities at Wheeler's park. Skyler loves to hang out with other kids and I just happened to take cute shots of them. あんまりかわいいので編集なしにみてください。聡美のママさんグループでの活動の一つでWheeler's Farmに行ったときの写真です。

Rain

The rain came down and the flood came up! ...No, we didn't have flood but it was heavy rain! Robert was so amazed that he let Skyler played in the rain. Skyler thought it was his bath time outside and he enjoyed the pouring rain. 「雨がざぁざぁふってきて～！」って別に洪水はなかったものの物凄い沢山の雨が降った夏の日。Robはあまりの雨の量の多さに感動してSkylerを雨の中で遊ばせた時の写真。Skylerは外でシャワータイムだと大喜び！

Butterfly!

On the way of Discovery Gateway, Skyler found a butterfly in the parking lot. He not only chased the butterfly, he actually caught it! Satomi was freeking out because she hates bugs and she was afraid that Skyler would rip the wing or kill the butterfly! He was gentle and let the butterfly go. This was just a beginning! Later this summer, Skyler caught grasshopper! Satomi didn't think he could but when he showed the grasshopper, she screamed! He asked "No touching grasshopper?" and Satomi said, "Not with Mommy, you can do that kind of activity with Daddy...sorry Mommy doesn't like bugs..."SLCにあるDiscoverygatewayに行く途中に駐車場で蝶々を見つけたSkylerは追いかけて見事に手で捕まえた！聡美は虫が嫌いなのでSkylerが羽をちぎったり殺してしまうんじゃないかとハラハラしてたけど彼は優しく扱って放ってあげました。でもこれがきっかけで夏の終わりにばったを手で捕まえて聡美に「見て！バッタ！」と喜んでいた彼。もちろん聡美は「キャー！」Skylerは「バッタ触ったらだめなの？」の質問に聡美は「ママと一緒にいるときはやめてね…パパと一緒のときは触ってもいいから」としか言えなかった…。

It's mine!

This is at the ward summer party. Skyler loved HIS own ice cream bar. Yes, it was all melting and sticky, but just look at his face! He is totally enjoying the moment！ワードの夏のBBQパーティで初めてSkylerは自分のアイスクリームをもらって食べてる様子。（いつもはパパのおすそ分けだから、本人自分のをもらって大満足）。暑くてアイスクリームがべとべとに溶けてたけれど本人の満足顔を見たら何も言えず、ただつられてニコニコしてた聡美でした。
