June with Aki

This month went by so fast! We had a friend of Satomi from Japan stay at our house about 3 weeks. These pictures are from her cell phone (well, most of them are). Skyler understands many words now (thanks goodness that he knows more than "no"). He knows light, clock, car, cat, cow, etc in Japanese. When you say those words in Japanese, he will point at the objects. At the end of this month, Skyler got a stomach flu (he still has it... It is pretty amazing, even though it's been rough on him, he still is happy as much as he can...) and he passed the flu to Rob and Aki. Me? I was blessed so that I could take care of them (don't ask how many Lysol spray bottles I used). By the way, I don't know if we told you all that we do have a huge drive-thru theatre a cross a street from us.

Sunday Afternoon with Mommy

This is when we'd just come back home from church. Skyler loves Primary. Once he realizes that we are at church, he says "YEAH~!" His favorite time at church is singing time with the primary kids. You can tell he is super-highper not only at church, but also because he loves stuffed animals (he loves Sesame Street). He goes crazy every time when we play this kind of game. After we filmed this, he gave a huge OXOX to all of his stuffed animals and, of course, to us!

Duck, Duck, Goose?

Since spring time has arrived, we often go to Rob's work during his lunch break because there are 2 man-made lakes with tons of fish, ducks, geese, etc. It's been great to spend short "family time" there. For a while Skyler didn't register about the birds, but today when we fed some of Skyler's snacks they were all over us and Skyler was so excited. It's not in this video, but at the entrance of his work, one of the geese laid their eggs. After we took this video, Rob took Skyler out from his stroller and held him so that he could get closer to those wild animals! Skyler loved them, even though one of them bit his finger (Skyler was pointing his index finger at them and they thought he was going to give them food). After that, they kept coming closer to Skyler because they thought his little toes and fingers were their "food."

Real smile vs. ...not so natural smile

Since last week, Skyler has learned to smile whenever someone is holding up the camera to him. As you can see, he is really trying to please us by smiling the best he can. It's cute to see how hard he tries, ...just not so natural looking... Now it is my skill to take his real smile.

WALLA~! I did it!

Skyler finally crawled on his knees after he had a BOTOX procedure for his torticollis. It was hard to see him going through many medical attentions for this procedure, especially putting him through anesthesia. He's been a trooper and in good cheer for handling everything that he's been through. We are so blessed to see him growing. We were just talking about how he is so close to crawling on his knees, then WALLA~! He just did it. We both held our breath and the next thing we knew was "get the camera!"
